Cocoa’s Houdini Act

Hello everyone!

I’m Keiko, a Soul Level Animal Communicator®.

I’ve attached little kitty doors to all the doors in my house so that my cat can move around freely. These little kitty doors have sliding locks that come in handy sometimes, especially when I need to open a door to the outside for a while—like when I’m bringing in a lot of stuff. I don’t want my kitty to slip outside while I’m busy.

Then there’s Cocoa…

He is very smart—maybe too smart for a kitty. He has to know everything and possesses intelligence, perseverance, and ingenuity.

When my husband brings in wood, the first thing he does is put all the kitties in a room and close the kitty door. One day, all the kitties were inside, and my husband was ready to go outside, then Cocoa appeared from nowhere.

The last time I checked, the kitty door was locked. He truly is a little Houdini in a cat's body! I couldn’t figure out how he got out.

I’ve lived with cats before, but I’ve never encountered this problem. After some investigation, I discovered that the lock on the kitty door was broken. By the time I noticed, it was too late—Cocoa had already broken all the locks. Yes, he is very determined.

Now, when my husband needs to bring in wood, he puts the cats in the room and covers the kitty door with something heavy to prevent Cocoa from pushing it open.

Do you remember how determined Cocoa is?

A heavy obstacle wasn’t enough to stop him.

He pulled off his Houdini act again.

Thus began the battle of wits between Cocoa and my husband.

Even though Cocoa hasn’t been able to open the door for us humans, he knows how door knobs work. He can open the screen door outside (it has a simple latch) if the inner door is open.

Recently, my husband had a brilliant idea! He crafted a sort of apparatus to keep Cocoa at bay. When he created this, he screamed “victory!” and couldn’t stop laughing like Dr. Evil thinking he outsmarted Cocoa.

So far, it’s working… so far.

Have you ever thought your pet is actually smarter than you?

Love and Peace

Keiko
